Students who scored below an 80 on the last test should have come home Friday with a "Request to Retake" form. This will need to be signed by both the student and a parent and returned to me by Tuesday. Students without returned forms will not be allowed to retake the test. The retake day and time is Wednesday, September 28 from 3:30-4:30.
Test retakes are not something I will offer every time we have a test. I expect, in the future, that students will study and prepare adequately for each test beforehand. 8th grade is going to be very busy this week and next week. This Wednesday, we will take the second test to end our first unit in ELA. Study guides will go home today (Monday 9/19) and are due tomorrow (Tuesday 9/20).
In addition to the test, students are being assigned an informative essay that is due on Monday, 9/26. We will have some class time to work on the essay; however, students need to work on it at home as well in order to ensure that all steps are completed and ready to be turned in to me on Monday 9/26. Please remember the lunch money schedule: Monday: Jimmy John's lunch (money due each Friday by noon) Tuesday and Thursday: Chick-fil-A (money due on Monday by 9am and Wednesday by 9am) Wednesday: Uncle Maddio's Pizza (money due by Tuesday at 9am) Important Dates:
